The YWAM Discipleship Training School

Is designed to encourage students in personal character development, cultivate their relationship with God and identify their unique, individual gifts and callings. Cross-cultural exposure and global awareness are specially emphasized throughout the course, preparing the students to evangelize and disciple current and future generations. You will answer the call: “Go into all the world and teach (make disciples of) all nations.” Matthew 28:19

What Makes This DTS Different?

You will develop a close and personal relationship with God, understanding what it means to take on the “Great Commission.” Be a part of the generation that will see its fulfillment. This will happen, surrounded by a naturally clean environment, (Emerald Bay is one of the top ten snorkeling spots in the world with visibility of 120 feet). Imagine learning about how God deeply cares about our planet, its environment and marine life. Marine Biologists, Annie and Fran MacAulay founders of ,Mountain and  Sea Adventures, will be a part of the teaching program, instructing everyone on the marine wildlife, and island  Natural History. This is the setting you can expect as you study with the DTS on Catalina Island.

Enjoy nature at it’s best * environmental studies * whales * dolphins * buffalo * lobster * diving * fishing * snorkeling * sailing * kayaking * outriggers * wake boarding * water ski * jet ski * learn to suba dive (part of the training – extra charges apply)

Teaching Students Environmental Science

There will be a track available if you have a heart to teach students environmental science. MSA hosts approx 5000 students a year from the LA school district so after DTS this may be a ministry you would like to engage in.
