We highly recommend backpacks (no larger than 5000cu.in.), or collapsible duffels for limited space.

Pictures of your home country & family
Thermal underclothing (Under Armor or long johns)

Wet Wipes (Handi-Wipes)

* Note for Outreach: We do not recommend bringing hair dryers, flat irons, curling irons overseas. Plus, they will not be permitted on ships. They usually get fried even with a converter and can be dangerous.
Small travel size umbrellas
Dramamine (medication used to prevent motion sickness while traveling)
Small first aid kit
Small sewing, repair kit
Mesh bag for dirty clothes
Guitars or other musical instruments
Spending Money for:
Scuba certification
California Fishing license if you wish to fish
No need to bring underwater equipment (wet suits, snorkel gear, etc) they will be provided for a small fee.
Laundry and detergent. You can resupply at the general store on Catalina
Other personal expenses (eating out, misc. toiletries, weekend trips, etc)
